AGBU Camp Nubar History,
Background and Mission Statement:
AGBU Camp Nubar is
sponsored by the Armenian General Benevolent Union, which was founded by
Boghos Nubar in 1906. It is a non-political philanthropic organization
whose purpose is to preserve and promote the Armenian identity and
heritage through educational, cultural and humanitarian programs.
AGBU's Membership is
twenty-three thousand and it serves 500,000 people through its various
programs.
Camp Nubar is one of the
programs established in 1963 to serve not only the Armenian youth, but
many others who are enriched by the Armenian culture and traditions.
